About Us
ROCK THEATRE is a not for profit company limited by guarantee. As a result, all profits go towards supporting charities as advertised, funding productions, providing workshops, hiring or buying equipment and other costs related to the provision of top quality theatre.
Aims
- To provide and promote top professional quality theatre.
- To encourage the best possible standards of acting and production on the Rock.
- To bring in performers and leaders from outside the Rock to help develop the true potential of Gibraltar talent.
- To work with and support other arts and charities wherever possible.
Artistic Director – Angela Jenkins
Angela started acting aged 18 with the same theatre company as Alan Rickman.
As well as receiving some pointers from the man himself,
within a year she had worked with other members of his
final year at RADA on a fringe production of Brecht’s The
Caucasian Chalk Circle, including an independent recording
of Richard Greenblatt’s original music featuring
Angela as Yura the singer.
Trained at the Actors´ Centre, London and RADA
summer courses, she has directed and performed
extensively in leading roles at London and Edinburgh
fringe venues, regional repertory theatres and music
halls from Hoxton to the Albert Hall.
Television includes The Fourth Floor, Joy to the World,
Look East and Back to the Floor.
